Our mission is to preserve and improve the physical environment of the Grandmont/Rosedale
area to create a stronger and more vital community for all who live and work here. We pursue this mission through housing
renovation and real estate revitalization programs that address the needs and interests of the communities we serve.
Our Accomplishments
Here is a brief summary of our accomplishments so far:
54 vacant houses renovated and sold to new home owners.
95 home improvement loans and grants made to low income home owners.
4 vacant commercial buildings renovated.
37 facade grants made to businesses, improving 78 of the 140 businesses on Grand River.
7 neighborhood parks and school playgrounds renovated.
Graffiti removed from over 500 buildings through our ongoing Graffiti Busters campaign.
Hundreds of volunteers mobilized annually for neighborhood clean up and beautification projects.
Who We Serve
We serve a multi-neighborhood area in northwest Detroit including the Grandmont, Grandmont #1, Rosedale Park,
North Rosedale Park, Minock Park, and Schoolcraft neighborhoods.
We are governed by a Board of Directors comprised of neighborhood residents and business owners.
Our professional staff ensures that programs are managed efficiently and effectively. Interns, volunteers and other professional
support round out our community revitalization team.
