The Grandmont Rosedale Communities are some of the finest residential areas in
the City of Detroit. First developed in the 1920's and 30's, our neighborhoods are characterized by unique brick homes
in a variety of classic styles. Our tree-lined streets and well-cared-for yards reflect a true pride of ownership.
GRDC works to preserve these great communities by proactively addressing problem properties as
they arise. By purchasing and renovating vacant and foreclosed houses and selling them to new homeowners, we are attacking
sources of blight and strengthening our local housing market.
Housing Renovation Program
GRDC acquires vacant and dilapidated houses and transforms them into fully renovated homes that are assets
for the whole community. These homes are sold to new families that will own and care for them for years to come.
Many of these homes are renovated especially for low and moderate income homebuyers. Special programs
are available to help these buyers cover their down payment and closing costs at the time of purchase.
GRDC also offers Homebuyer Education classes and one-on-one counseling to help potential homebuyers on the
road to fulling their dreams of homeownership.

Owner-Occupied Home Repair
GRDC provides grants and loans to low and moderate income home owners to make needed repairs to their
homes. Currently, our only program is focused on Grandmont #1 community. (Southfield to Grandville, Schoolcraft
to Lyndon.)
